Six Months Old


This picture was taken this morning before our walk. Six months ago today, our little Rachel Elinor came into the world. What a wonderful blessing from God! Next Sunday we are having her dedicated; we are also dedicating and committing ourselves to raise her in a way that would be pleasing to the Lord. We have chosen some verses from Ephesians to use as a blessing for her on that day, in fact we are praying this blessing for her each night before she goes to bed. Ephesians 3:17-19 says, "And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."

Mother's Day


What a wonderful day! Chris watched Rachel this morning so I had the opportunity to go to a Women's Brunch at the church. I met a few new women and a lady spoke about the importance of friendship. In the afternoon Chris and Rachel took me out to Inspired Market Gardens. We took part in the "Tea Party" and purchased some plants at the greenhouse. I have yet to plant them out in the flower beds.
The picture was taken out there by a big stack of hay. Rachel didn't like it...it was too scratchy. We just got home and are going to relax this evening. Have a wonderful Mother's Day tomorrow!

Lord of the Dance


Today is a beautiful day. The sun is shining and the grass is turning green. I have been out in the flower beds getting things ready to plant. My irises are up and I am hoping to plant some perennials. Not sure what kinds, but I will decide in the next week or so. We will plant flowers and our vegetable garden on the May long weekend. We ordered seeds from a company in Winnipeg that should arrive by the weekend.
Rachel has figured out her Jolly Jumper. She looks like a little dancer...hello "Lord of the Dance". :) I got a video clip of her yesterday...so cute! We drove to Chris' work today and had lunch together. We went for a walk too; so beautiful out!
This weekend will be busy with church things and friends. Have a great day!
